Does anyone else find this disturbing? That is a mighty big tree with quite a lean to it. Hmm, the lean starts right at the base too. I’ll have to go back (assuming I can find it) and see if it is self-correcting – if the new growth is growing straight up which would mean it had been leaning like this without falling for a while. I don’t know what an arborist would say about this as a potential hazard because a lot of factors go in to determining risk, one being what is the target. In this case, there is no fixed target. Someone would have to be deeply unlucky to be passing underneath at just the wrong time. Nevertheless, if I lived in near this tree, I’d take the long way home to avoid this particular intersection.
